Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Review

Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Review - Rana KVJ Movie Review :

Story :

Rana,B.Tech babu is the grandson of Subrahmanyam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a legendary theater actor of the famous Surabhi group. B.Tech Babu has no intention of continuing as a languishing actor and instead, he makes his plans to head to the United States. This deeply upsets Subrahmanyam, who requests him to perform one last drama titled ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ at the Bellary Natakotsavam.Meanwhile, it is daylight robbery that is the norm in Bellary. A powerful mining mafia uses a heady mixture of money, fear and politics to keep the town in its iron grip.

The entire operation is in the control of Reddappa (Milind Gunaji), who terrorizes local people and illegally destroys thousands of acres of lush green forests to feed his hunger for money. Devika (Nayanatara) is a documentary filmmaker who tries to bring these atrocities to light. As a reluctant B.Tech Babu heads to Bellary, he discovers that he has a past in this town. He also shares a connection with Reddappa and his sworn enemy Chakravarthy (Murali Sharma). B. Tech Babu realises that he has an obligation to fulfill and a responsibility to shoulder and the remaining is onscreen.

Analysis :

Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum is a action entertainer and Rana acting is the main highlight of the film. Besides this, Krish fast paced script, Mani Sharma's music, Gnanasekhar's cinematography, Sai Madhav Burra's dialogues, wonderfully choreographed fights, Venkatesh-Sameera and Hazel Keech's item numbers, JK Murthy's art direction, Tirumala's costumes and Chittor Srinivas' make-up are the other attractions of the movie .

Technicalities and Performances :

Rana rocks you with his stunning fights and amazing dialogue delivery. As a reporter, Nayantara looks good and her chemistry with Rana is very good. Others like Posani Krishna Murali, Milind Gunaji, Murali Sharma, LB Sriram, Brahmanandam and Raghu Babu are also good in their respective roles. Venkatesh, Sameera Reddy will also entertain you with their guest appearances.Mani Sharma's music is the main highlight. His background score elevates the intensity of several scenes. His tunes are also good to listen. Gnanasekhar's picturisation, Sai Madhav Burra's dialogues, amazing fights, JK Murthy's art direction, Tirumala's costumes and Chittor Srinivas' make-up are all commendable and they help Krish to project his ideas properly.

Final Word:

KVJ is full of entertainment with a good story line.Don't miss it.

Nagarjuna Damarukam Movie Review

Damarukam Movie Review - Nagarjuna Damarukam Review

Story :

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Damarukam Telugu Movie - Nagarjuna had few releases in the past couple of years and all of them have been average movies and nothing stood out but with Damarukam Nag has a sure shot winner in his hands this time. Nov 23rd is definitely a lucky day for Nagarjuna, at First Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s Birth Day. Finally the movie has released and one thing we can say for sure, “Late Ga Vachina Latest Ga Vachindi”. Nagarjuna looking younger than ever and sported his six pack body.

Anushka is excellent and she looked very glamorous. Damarukam is a socio-fantasy movie in which Nagarjuna plays the role of Mallikarjuna while Anushka does the female lead role. Andhakasura is the Raksha who is in an invisible form. At the time of Panchagraha Kootami, Andhakasura takes the shape and gets the power of ‘Panchabhoothalu’. Andhakasura will become powerful.Andhakasura should marry a girl Maheswari (Anushka) born at that moment to become the emperor of the entire Universe. Only Lord Shiva can eliminate him. So, he executes the elimination through the hero, Mallikarjuna (Nagarjuna).

Analysis:

Srinivasa Reddy's storyline is near perfect and he is bang on target this time. Though Nagarjuna and Anushka's roles are passive most of the time, interesting storyline did not highlight it much. Nagarjuna must be complimented for choosing different roles in each of his film. His performance is neat and he striving for his sister's treatment and at the same time helping the needy strikes chord. Reason of him hating Lord Shiva was mentioned in a perfect manner.

Director extracted optimum performance from Ravi Shankar whose 'Machchare' dialogue reminded one of great SV.Rangarao and even his looks sometimes resembled him. Sometimes he tried to enact Sonu Sood in Arundhati. There are no loose ends in the film for which director should be complimented. However comedy track forceful inclusion put brakes on the smooth sailing of the story.

Technicalities and Performances :

Production values of RR.Movie Makers are of top class. Cinematography of Chota K Naidu beautified the film while Music and Background score by Devi Sri Prasad mesmerised viewers. Gautham Raju's editing is ok and could have concentrated a bit in the first half. Credit should be given to VFX and Graphics team for their mind blowing work.Nagarjuna goes through the usual troubles of playing a young, unmarried, physically attractive fighter/lover/protector of the human realm at the age of 53. He was so convincing as the Nagarjuna of many films where he gets along being Nagarjuna.

Of the other cast members Ravi Shankar will stay back, but, it’s not a happy memory. I feel bad that after all those lengthy intense lines, the snakes in his hair, the biker tattoos on his arms he got killed so easily. They don’t even respect his eyebrows that turn upwards.

Final Word :

Damarukam can be watched for its high level of visual effects and the songs. At the box office, it will be challenging for the film to get to the success point but still it will manage a decent report.

Rating : 3/5

Seethamma vakitlo

Nayanatara to dub her own in 'KVJ'

Actress Nayanthara is back in the industry after a break and is all set to make prominent comebacks in both Kollywood and Tollywood. Having two films in both Tamil and Telugu, it looks like she will be back at her best pretty soon.

Nayanthara has already agreed to do a film with Arya and Jai and has also been roped in for 'Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum', directed by Krish. The highlight about this project is that she will be dubbing in her own voice for the film. Although Nayanthara has already done a few films in Tollywood, this will be the first time she lends her voice to the mic.'Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum' has Rana Daggubati in the lead and is expected to see a big opening in Telugu

Goa Film Fest Without Tollywood Movie

Not a single Telugu film will be screened at the 43rd International Film Festival of India, ( IFFI- 2012) beginning in Goa from November 19. That means the Telugu film industry will go unrepresented at the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema. In further embarrassment to Tollywood, regional films in Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil have found a place in the all-important Indian Panorama section where the best of the country's films will be showcased to the international audience. In fact there are as many as five Malayalam movies in the section. While movies in Assamese, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Byari, Hindi/Marathi, Hindi/English, Konkani and Punjabi have met the criteria but none from Telugu have made the cut.

Enquiries by TOI revealed that as many as 9 entries were received in Telugu but only four made it to the central committee. The committee selected a total of 18 films from all languages but not a single Telugu film was found worth for the list. These include 'Ela Aithe Ela', 'Maa Voori Jogini', 'Mallela Theernam' and 'Minugurulu'. There were also other films like 'Oka Romantic Crime Katha', 'Omkaram', 'Prathyayanam' and 'Veerangam' which the three sub-groups of jury watched and did not send to the central committee as, in their opinion, the movies did not have enough stuff to go for final selection. The nine-member committee selected only films that would bring Indian cinema recognition in front of an international audience and did not mind selecting more than one film from one language.P K Manvi, academic, producer and director from Hyderabad, was part of the jury apart from members from West Bengal, Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Mumbai, and Delhi. Manvi who is the dean of Ramoji Academy of Film and Television told TOI that there were good reasons why Telugu films did not interest the jury. While some of the films had a routine theme,
the others either lacked the technical quality to make the grade because films from other languages were simply better in many aspects. "There should have been more entries of Telugu films. Some big films like 'Eega' were not even sent to be considered for selection to be screened in the Indian panorama section," Manvi said. Last year only one Telugu film 'Virodhi', starring Srikanth was selected for the Indian panorama. While no Telugu feature film has made it to the Indian panorama section, in the non-feature films category also there is no Telugu film.

Nagarjuna Shirdi Sai Movie Review

Nagarjuna's entry as Baba, set to the tune of a song on the oneness of God - "Okkade Devudu" was nicely shot.Nagarjuna plays the part of Shiridi Sai so perfectly that one gets the feeling that no one else could pull this role off. He is the only actor among his contemporaries for playing roles like Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu and Shirdi Sai The actor is a revelation in this role that calls for intricate nuances and skill. He has put in a lot of hard work both in terms of looks as well as body language. The triumph of this role lies in the fact
that Nags got the subtleties right. An award might just be around the corner.

Nagarjuna proves that he is a true Shirdi Sai with his portrayal of the role. His radiant eyes, subtle expressions, the pain and joy in his actions prove that Nagarjuna lives the role and has poured oodles of devotion into the whole act.Srikanth was apt in his role as Dasaganu. Srihari as Wales and Brahmanandam as Sandeham also fit the bill.Moving dialogues like "Manishi Sukhamga undedhi maraninchaake" touches the audiences.Keeravani's music and background score are brilliant. He has put in his best for this devotional movie and has elevated several scenes with his impeccable tunes. His music is the soul of the film and this is one of his best musical scores in the recent past. His own devotion to his art reflects in every song.

The production values are very rich, thanks to Mahesh Reddy and Shri Girish Reddy Raghavendra Rao has provided a great canvas for actor Nagarjuna and music director Keeravani, who have given much colour to the director's vivid imagination. In a scenario, where commercial films are being made dime a dozen, a film like Shirdi Sai calls for strong conviction and Nagarjuna's move to take up this film is commendable.

Cast: Nagarjuna, Srikanth, Sarath Babu, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Sayaji Shinde, Sri Hari, Brahmanandam etc.,
Director: K Raghavendra Rao
Music Director: M M Keeravani
Producer: A Mahesh Reddy
Banner: Sai Krupa Entertainments, Sree Lakshmi Sai Films
